Marshall's Proven Financial Record vs. Amodei's Job Killing, Billion Dollar Tax Increases With 13.4% unemployment Nevadans just can't afford reckless Mark Amodei & his job killing taxes
Reno, NV – The Kate Marshall for Congress campaign today began airing two different ads highlighting the clear contrast in the Nevada 02 special Congressional election between fiscally responsible State Treasurer Kate Marshall, and billion dollar tax-raising aficionado Mark Amodei. In "Common Sense," Treasurer Marshall talks about her record of saving Nevadans millions of dollars, refusing to take a pay raise, and increasing services without raising taxes. "Judge Me" features Mark Amodei talking about his very own billion dollar tax increase package taxing everything from car repairs to movie tickets, but if that wasn't bad enough it even included a tax on creating jobs.
"With 13.4% unemployment, Nevadans just can't afford Mark Amodei's reckless behavior of billion dollar tax hikes, job killing payroll taxes and his pledge to end their Medicare," said Kate Marshall. "I'm a fighter for Nevada's families and I'll take that fight to Washington to protect our jobs, Medicare and Social Security. I turned down a pay raise and saved millions of dollars for Nevadans, and I intend to do the same in Congress."

Common Sense
Marshall: When it comes to our money, Washington, they need more common sense. And in the Treasurer's Office we were able to save millions of dollars simply by renegotiating contracts, by cutting expenses and increase services without raising taxes.
Announcer: Financial expert Kate Marshall, praised by the Gazette Journal as a serious caretaker of taxpayer money.
Marshall: My job is to make sure that we have our middle class. I'm Kate Marshall and I approve this message. I didn't take a pay raise in Nevada and I won't take one in Washington.
Judge Me
Marshall: My name's Kate Marshall and I approve this ad.
Announcer: Mark Amodei says . . .
Amodei: Judge me by what I do
Announcer: What's Amodei done? Amodei sponsored the biggest tax hike in Nevada history. One billion dollars on car repairs, movie tickets, even a tax on creating jobs. He evens admits it.
Amodei: Amodei sponsored a billion dollar tax bill. Well, yeah that's true
Announcer: And while Amodei was raising our taxes he voted himself a pay raise.
Amodei: Judge me by what I do.
Announcer: OK Mark. We will.
