Reno-Gazette Journal - Kate Marshall opens campaign headquarters for Congressional District 2 seat

Democratic State Treasurer Kate Marshall of Reno, her party's nominee for the open seat in Nevada's 2nd Congressional District, opened her campaign headquarters today by giving a short speech then putting the estimated 75 volunteers there to work.

Some of the volunteers began making phone calls at the Greg St. office. Others hit the streets to begin knocking on doors for their candidate.

"I think we need to do a little more for the people in Nevada," Marshall told her volunteers. "But here is the way it works. I would like to represent you, all of you Nevadans. But I can't do it without you. Every single one of you has a vote, so do your aunts and uncles and nieces, your nephews, assuming they are old enough. Your cousins, they have a vote. Your friends and neighbors, they have a vote. You have 33 days (until early voting begins) and the torch passes from me to you." Read the full article here.
